As the Advertising Coordinator at Canon Canada from 2017-2019, I helped to manage the “Canon Creator Lab” brand partnership between Canon Canada, The Creator Class and FREE Agency.

A community-powered collective of visual storytellers and creative entrepreneurs, The Creator Class was founded by FREE in 2014. We worked with FREE and the creative community to develop a robust portfolio of educational photography resources. These came in the form of photo walks with professional photographers to episodic online videos, produced by members of The Creator Class. As part of the sponsorship, we also powered the “Canon Creator Lab” space within FREE’s downtown Toronto studio. FREE and The Creator Class organized and executed a multitude of IRL events in the space, including: live photography how-to sessions, interactive and experiential events with Canon cameras, and Q&A panels with a range of young, talented photographers. These events attracted anywhere between 20 (for more intimate events) to 200+ attendees.

The objective of the partnership was to inspire young creatives to pursue their passions and achieve their goals by providing them with the framework, space, and access to professional Canon gear to do so.
